Custom Home Build Process

Concept

Step 1

It starts with our custom build questionairre and phone call to discuss where you are at in the process (including timing, lot needs, etc…)
From there, we either schedule a Consultation or we begin the process to find the perfect lot.

Pre-Construction + Design

Step 2

After we’ve secured a lot and had the initial consultation, we create an informed proposal.
Next steps would be to create the preliminary drawings and review it all with you.
Through collaborative discussions, we will fine tune the plan.

Construction

Step 3

After a Construction Contract is signed, we begin the building process.
You’ll be pulled in for selections and personalized decisions including (but not limited to) exterior colors/choices, windows, doors, roofing, siding, masonry, interior colors/choices, cabinets, flooring, paint, lighting etc.
At this point, our site managers take the reigns and finish the project.
Closing processes begin and you can plan to move in!

2-10 Home Buyer Warranty

Quality is important, especially in your new home. Your workmanship warranty provides coverage from the day of closing and establishes the standards applicable to the fit, finish and materials used in the construction of your home.

If you do not have a lot yet, Helgeson Homes can assist in your search for a suitable building lot. Oftentimes having the builder on board when searching for a site can help coordinate site selection with the desired build characteristics to achieve a better finished product.

What should I bring to my first meeting with Helgeson Homes?

You can simply bring your questions and we can have a preliminary “get to know us” discussion or we can start discussing your future home’s particulars and take a look at any inspirational pictures/drawings you may have.

With our integrated approach, you are able to get a clearer picture of true project cost earlier in the design process than you would if you hired a design professional first, and then upon completing the design phase, bid out the project to various contractors. Plans, do I need them, does Helgeson Homes have them?

You do not need to bring in a plan, we can create a custom layout and design specifically for your style and life. If you do have plan or design ideas we’d love to view them and help bring those elements into your project.

Do your homes have a warranty?
